Simply remove excess silicone with a release agent (e.g. emulsion of water and washing-up liquid). A joint smoother, for example, can be used as a stripping aid. Allow the silicone to dry out completely. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the cartridge.

Now push the already installed crossbar further up towards the roof window. The gap (see marking) between the skylight and the crossbar must not exceed 4 – 5 mm. Also ensure that the roof window seal is positioned behind the muntin bar seal.
